Our Grey Prince of Wales Mouline suit is a stylish and modern iteration of the classical British POW suit. The cloth is made by Huddersfield in Yorkshire, with a checkered pattern - the Prince of Wales check. We’ve presented this suit in our sartorial preset, the trousers have pleats and cuffs, and the jacket has broad lapels, this is to showcase how powerful the Grey POW Mouline suit can be. We’ve also equipped our model with a double-breasted waistcoat - this is not included in the order, but can easily be added to the order via chat.

Prince of Wales check or Glen plaid as it is also known, is a traditional Scottish weave. It was originally made from a thicker yarn, and worn by the royal gamekeepers (hunters). Since then it has ascended into the ranks of high fashion, with many aficionados, notably Ronald Reagan. This particular POW is a middleweight fabric, weighing in at 360 g/m2, made from 100% English brushed worsted wool.

Due to its classical nature, this suit is most easily styled for formal occasions. Styled as in the photos, with a crisp white shirt, and a waistcoat it is the perfect suit for a traditional and formal wedding. Perhaps add a boutonniere to make it friendlier, and opt for brown leather shoes instead of black leather shoes if you want it a tad bit less formal. Now without a waistcoat this suit also makes a surprisingly good figure in the office. Pair it with f.ex. a light blue shirt and loose the tie for a less formal outfit. The jacket also lends itself surprisingly well to be worn on its own. Throw it over a beige or navy knit and wear it with a good pair of jeans for casual look with sartorial flair.

Huddersfield is a textile mill from the town of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire, England. The town itself has grown around the textile industries since the Industrial Revolution. What makes Huddersfields unique is their extremely soft water in which the raw wool is washed, before it is woven into luxurious and unique suiting fabrics.
