Scheduling an appointment – why?

Although walk-ins are welcome, we always encourage you to schedule an appointment. This way, we are able to guarantee you our full attention.

An appointment for measuring and design takes about one hour, in which you will be scanned, fitted and discuss your personal preferences with your clothier. Style and preferences are as unique as body measurements, and in order to understand all there is to know about you, we want to be able to give you our full attention.

Press the accordions below to learn more about each step of the process during an appointment with us.

Creating an account

When you schedule an appointment, we ask you to create an online account with us. Your personal account will become your “online wardrobe” and will contain your measurement profile, order history, and your Mond Rewards status after your first purchase.

We ask for your email and phone number only in order to be able to send you a confirmation and a reminder for your scheduled appointment, as well as communicating about the process of your order afterwards. On the day of your appointment, we will send you a text message reminder with directions to the store.

Welcome in store

We always welcome you in by offering you something to drink – most have water and coffee, but we also offer beer and a selection of spirits. If it is your first time with us, we will start by giving you a full introduction to what will take place during your appointment.

3D Body Scanning Technology

All new customers start in our 3D body scanner.

With this, we capture 300 of your body measurements from 20 different angles in less than 30 seconds. In the scanner, you will dress down to your underwear to ensure a precise scan, and when the scan is complete, your clothier will hand you a fitting suit based on the measurements given by the scanner.

This is far (far) from everything we use the body scanner for.

Fitting

Based on your body scan, your clothier will dress you in a fitting suit. And here begins the most crucial part of your appointment; ensuring the perfect fit of your new suit.

The scanner gives us knowledge of every inch of your body measurements, but it cannot tell us how you like to wear your suit e.g. where you carry your trousers, how much room you want and how long you want your trousers and jacket to be. These are all important details to ensure your suit will sit and fit exactly the way you want, which is why this conversation between you and your clothier is crucial.

Want to know more about fits? We have made a comprehensive overview to support your conversation during your appointment.

Design

Once we know everything about your measurements and fitting preferences, it is time to design your suit. We offer tens of thousands of the finest fabrics from highly esteemed mills – primarily in Italy and England.

When you have identified the fabric(s) of your liking, it is time for design choices like buttons, linings, and personal initials, but also more complex elements such as shoulder- and construction type, front closing (double-breasted, single-breasted), and canvas.

This is usually the step of the process, which requires more attention from you. Feel free to ask for a refill on the coffee/water/drinks if you need it! Your clothier will guide you through each step of the suit design, and you are free to make your own choice for each, or simply go with our recommendations.

Walk-through and placing of order

Before placing your order, your clothier will walk you through each element in your order to ensure that everything is correct.

Pay thorough attention! When your order is placed, we immediately send your measurements and order to our workshop in Portugal, where they digitalize your personal pattern and pick all your choices of buttons, threads, and fabrics right after.

Should any request for changes occur, you need to inform us no later than the day after placing your order, before 10:00 AM.
