The light grey Tropical Suit is a clean and modern take on what a summer wedding suit can be. The cloth is a 100% wool woven in a light and airy tropical weave, and has a delightful fresh and light grey colour with hints of beige and purple. The light and airy fabric makes this suit ideal candidate for a summer day out in the sun. Here we’ve presented the suit in a our Statorial-preset with rounded shoulders, cuffs and a double breasted waistcoat, this way we show how grand such a simple and light fabric can be. The waistcoat is not included in the suit but can easily be added via chat.
Tropical weaves bring out the brighter side of wool, making for a strong and light cloth. The yarn that was used for this particular fabric collection has slightly different shades of grey, leaving a beautiful structure in the cloth that accentuates the fit. It weighs around 290 g/m2, and is made from 100% wool. It is a fairly light fabric, but robust enough to be suitable for prolonged wear.
This suit paired with a crips white shirt, or one that matches the brides dress, a simple color tie in a saturated red, blue, olive and or creme, a pocket square and some loafers make for an excellent summer wedding outfit. Here we’ve specifically chosen a red tie to compliment the shoes, but you can get the reverse effect wearing black shoes and navy tie. When it comes to shoes this suit goes just as well with brown as black leather, where black more for the more formal option. What makes this suit an especially good purchase is how well grey works in different environments, this suit can accompany you for a lifetime, also after your wedding.
This special fabric comes from the Italian textile mill Vitale Barberis Canonico. The Barberis Canonico family has been producing fabrics since 1663, maintaining traditions and adapting early to industrious trends such as electrification at the beginning of the 20th century. This commitment to craftsmanship is apparent in their fabrics, such as this tropical wool which is a modern, practical and beautiful iteration of what a woolen summer cloth can be.
