Our Cream Herringbone Suit is perhaps the most chic and formal summer suit that we present here on the website. The cloth is a luxurious and light herringbone, in a bright cream colour. Here we’ve designed the suit in a casual preset with naturally pleated shoulders. Remember that you’re free to design our suits however you like, this suit could also work in a looser fit, or with pleated trousers.
Herringbone is a variation of twill, with counter-current stripes that give the fabric structure and drape. The cloth weighs in at 340 g/m2, a middleweight textile that drapes loosely. It is made from 100% wool and has a soft touch, but no stretch.
This suit is certainly one for festive occasions and celebrations during the summer months. For a cool and contemporary look, style it with a white even beige linen shirt, and a darker tie - here we advise subdued colours, as the suit has a bright and saturated tone. This suit goes excellent with loafers, especially suede ones, as shown in the pictures. Boating shoes also make an unexpected but classy pairing. The trousers can also very well be worn on their own, paired with a nice navy or burgundy shirt on a warm summer day, or for an occasion where the full suit would be too formal.
This special fabric comes from the Italian textile mill Vitale Barberis Canonico. The Barberis Canonico family has been producing fabrics since 1663, maintaining traditions and adapting early to industrious trends such as electrification at the beginning of the 20th century. This commitment to craftsmanship is apparent in their fabrics, such as this cream herringbone which is a modern, practical and beautiful iteration of what summer fabric can be.
