The difference between off-the-rack and made to measure, or custom tailoring, lies in the way the suit is produced.
Off-the-rack suits are pre-made in standard sizes and offers no personalization as the product is already made. Made to measure on the other hand, is a process where each suit is made one at a time, cut to a customers specific measurements and allows the customers to design almost all parts of the suit.
The result of made to measure, if done right, is a suit that fits better and provides a more unique end product with customers choice of fabric, lining, personal embroidered monogram and much more.
At Mond, all of our suits are done the right way, featuring Italian and UK fabrics in natural materials, premium half- or full canvas construction and an advanced 3D fitting system to allow us to shape the suit exactly to the customers body for optimal results.
All our suits are made with a half canvas construction and shoulders with minimal padding as standard but this can be tweaked in the product configurator.

The fabric is made in a rich dark grey colour with a subtle structure to it that keeps the suit visually interesting for a long time. Apart from being visually interesting, the fabric is both light and robust at the same time, so you can use it day and night without worry. For the pictures we’ve chosen to present this suit with the wedding preset, giving it rounded shoulders, slightly broader lapels, and a slim fit. It should be noted that this suit would work equally well in a looser fit, and even with pleats, remember that you can always change the design of the suit. Please note that the price is for jacket and trousers, the waistcoat can easily be added on to the order via the chat.
Tropical weaves bring out the brighter side of wool, making for a strong and light cloth. The yarn that was used for this particular fabric collection has slightly different shades of grey, leaving a beautiful structure in the cloth that accentuates the fit. It weighs around 290 g/m2, and is made form 100% wool. It is a fairly light fabric, but robust enough to be suitable for prolonged wear.
About styling; how can one suit cover both wedding and business? Styling this suit for a wedding would look very much like the pictures we’ve presented here with the waistcoat. However we would certainly recommend a white shirt, that can be matched to the white of the bride’s dress. Another important detail is that the suit will look more festive with a unicoloured tie. When wearing the suit for a prolonged time, remember that accessories like a pocket square and a boutonnière keep the suit visually interesting for longer. Shoe wise the both black and brown leather shoes work well with this cloth, though lighter shoes like tan suede would be a bit more difficult to style it with. Styling this suit for business or other occasions where you want to look formal and well dressed is easy, loose the waistcoat and add a tie with a small pattern if the occasion requires/you desire it. The trousers can easily be worn separately with just a shirt, or sweater.

The Barberis Canonico family has been producing fabrics since 1663, maintaining traditions and adapting early to industrious trends such as electrification at the beginning of the 20th century.
