The difference between off-the-rack and made to measure, or custom tailoring, lies in the way the suit is produced.
Off-the-rack suits are pre-made in standard sizes and offers no personalization as the product is already made. Made to measure on the other hand, is a process where each suit is made one at a time, cut to a customers specific measurements and allows the customers to design almost all parts of the suit.
The result of made to measure, if done right, is a suit that fits better and provides a more unique end product with customers choice of fabric, lining, personal embroidered monogram and much more.
At Mond, all of our suits are done the right way, featuring Italian and UK fabrics in natural materials, premium half- or full canvas construction and an advanced 3D fitting system to allow us to shape the suit exactly to the customers body for optimal results.
All our suits are made with a half canvas construction and shoulders with minimal padding as standard but this can be tweaked in the product configurator.

1.069 €This is our Offwhite 4-ply suit worn by Giorgio Giangiulio at Pitti Uomo. The suit is made in an outstanding offwhite 4-ply high twist fabric from Lanificio Rogna. 4-Ply means that the fabric is coarser and has more texture, which plays beautifully on the hazy off-white color. Booth colour and materiality make this the perfect suit for warm weather. We’ve created this suit strikingly simple; with our casual preset. The flap pockets and trouser cuffs tone down the formality a notch making this suit ideal for summer festivities.
A 4-ply high twist is a somewhat heavier high twist fabric, but still as light and breathable as a woolen cloth can be. That is why Giorgio chose this cloth for the scoring sun in Florence. It weighs around 360 g/m2, and is made from 100% wool, so that it wears comfortable all day long. It is a fairly light fabric, but robust enough to be suitable for prolonged wear.
