Our dark Blue Herringbone Suit is perhaps one of the coolest iterations of a Navy Suit, made in a light and soft cloth from Alfred Brown. The navy-on-navy Herringbone pattern is beautifully subtle and goes unnoticed from afar, but makes for a suit that stays visually interesting for a long time. To play on the modern aesthetic, we’ve chosen to present this suit in a business preset, with normal shoulders and a modern fit. The pants are made with pleats and cuffs, which makes them more comfortable, and enhances the drape of the cloth. The waistcoat elevates the level of formality by another level and makes the suit perfect for a wedding - it should be noted that the waistcoat is not included in the price, but can be easily be ordered via chat.
Herringbone is an evolution of twill, with counter-current stripes that give the fabric structure and drape. The cloth weighs in at 340 g/m2, a middleweight textile that drapes loosely. It is made from 100% wool and has a soft touch, but no stretch.
With its elegant fabric, it is both a formal and modern suit. Styled with a waistcoat, it makes for an excellent wedding suit, combine it with a crisp white shirt and unicolored tie, and brown or black leather shoes. Since the cloth is so elegant, you can easily opt for more extravagant accessories, like a bright pocket square and boutonniere, which would break up the colours. This suit is however not confined to weddings or festive occasions, drop the waistcoat, and it’s the perfect suit for the office. As it is quite formal just by the nature of the cloth it can easily be worn without a tie. The navy colour works with almost all shirt colours, if you want to style it modernly opt for darker blues or greys, and if you want it classical go for light blue or beige.
