Not every standout look at Pitti Uomo relies on bold colours or striking patterns. Sometimes, it’s the simplicity and styling that makes all the difference.
We created this custom suit for Carlos Domord to wear for the most recent Pitti Uomo. From the outset, he had a very specific vision: an off-white three piece suit crafted from a silk-blend fabric, but without the noticeable sheen often associated with silk. Instead, he was looking for a cloth with the soft, matte character and natural texture of raw silk.
Fabric & Styling
To achieve that look, we chose a cloth by Lanificio Piacenza 1733, woven from 49% silk, 34% wool and 17% linen. The high silk content gives the fabric an exceptionally soft hand, the wool provides an elegant drape, while the linen introduces the matte character and subtle natural texture Carlos was looking for.
Paired with a simple white tank top beneath the waistcoat and soft cream accessories, the suit offers a contemporary take on the classic three-piece: relaxed and perfectly suited to the summer heat.
