Behind the look: The Tonal Pink Suit

 

With the sun’s scorching heat and the warm streets of Florence, this year’s summer edition of Pitti Uomo called for something out of the ordinary.

For this fair, we dressed our dear friend and renowned fashion consultant, Carlos Domord, in a monochromatic pink suit and shirt in linen from head to toe. The ensemble featured beautiful, soft linen from Dugdale Bros, with a shirt by Thomas Mason.

Carlos’s idea with this look was to steal focus in an elegant way that complemented the summer perfectly.

The Fabrics

The Pink Suit from Dugdale bros.

Lagan Valley is a modern Irish linen collection crafted with time-honored techniques, perfect for tailoring. Woven from traditional “dressed” linen threads and finished with a calendared touch, it initially feels rigid. However, a unique “dry washing” process softens the fabric without water, creating a sustainable, vintage-inspired texture that’s both smooth and durable—ideal for Carlos Domord’s style.

The Pink Shirt from Thomas Mason.

Crafted from Thomas Mason’s finest Gold Linen, this pink shirt combines eco-friendly linen with luxury and features a fresh, brilliant finish. Perfect for warm weather, it offers both comfort and sophistication. Nature provides the best; MOND elevates it further.

Styling

As Carlos chose this monochromatic look, which can be quite minimalistic, we knew we had to enhance the style to match the color and ambiance of Florence.

The double-breasted jacket was designed with bold, rounded peak lapels and lighter buttons to capture the summer vibe, complemented by high-waisted trousers with two forward pleats and a 5 cm turn-up. Giving us this stunning pink suit!

Carlos added his cool, creative touch with a knitted tote bag and loafers, finishing the look with an open pink camp collar shirt and gold accessories—perfect!

The Pink Shirt

The shirt Carlos wore at the fair was our signature camp collar shirt, made for him in the beautiful gold linen fabric from Thomas Mason, part of the Albini Group. With monochrome looks making a strong comeback in fashion, the pink linen shirt truly stood out.
