The Rain Repellent Field Jacket
Field jackets for men originated in military wear, particularly during the mid-20th century. The M-65 field jacket, introduced during the Vietnam War, became an iconic piece of clothing. Its popularity among soldiers and civilians alike led to its adoption in mainstream fashion and turned it into a timeless style statement.
Our field jacket fabrics are made by Olmetex, an Italian fabric mill, based in Como. This fabric is a 3-layer technical cotton and polyester blend that has undergone a special finishing process, making it water-resistant while ensuring strength and durability for practical wear. This results in excellent wind resistance and insulation. As with all our outerwear, the fabric is produced sustainably, free from harmful chemicals.
The design includes four front flap pockets, buttoned epaulets, a drawstring waist, double-sided zipper, concealed hood, and the inner lining of your choice, along with an inner pocket.
In terms of styling, the field jacket is highly versatile and easy to layer. If you are going for a business-casual look, pair it with your favorite suit trousers or chinos along with a shirt. For a smart-casual appearance, throw the jacket over a t-shirt or knitwear and pair it with some sneakers or boots.
