Rasmus Palsgård is a journalist and food critic for highly acclaimed media and guides in Denmark and abroad. Since 2011, he has been writing about food and beverages on his website, focusing particularly on top-tier gastronomy and wine. His interest in food dates back to his childhood, fuelling his lifelong fascination with the culinary world. Additionally, he held the esteemed position of chairman for the Danish jury in the Nordic guide 360 Eat Guide, responsible for ranking the finest restaurants across the Nordic region.
While Rasmus primarily focuses on Denmark, particularly Copenhagen, he frequently travels abroad to profile some of the world’s best restaurants on his blog and various media outlets he contributes to.
Apart from his role as a gastronomy writer, Rasmus also takes pleasure in cooking himself. His culinary skills were evident when he participated in MasterChef 2016, where he demonstrated his talents and ultimately reached the final stages of the competition.
Attention to detail
Another notable passion of Rasmus is classic menswear. He is rarely seen without his signature bowtie and a meticulously tailored outfit. Just like in gastronomy, he equally values quality craftsmanship and attention to detail in the realm of menswear.
During our interview with Rasmus, we had the opportunity to discuss his love for fine dining, including his favorite meal and his perspective on the food scene in Denmark. Additionally, we delved into his interest in menswear, exploring the sources of his personal style inspiration and examining the connection between fine dining and men’s fashion.
According to Rasmus, these two realms are intricately intertwined, as dressing up for a meal demonstrates respect for both the company and the occasion at hand. He emphasizes that attention to attire is a reflection of one’s appreciation for the experience, adding a layer of sophistication to the overall dining ambiance.

The Classic Black Smoking
The first outfit Rasmus designed was a classic black smoking. Inspired by its timeless elegance, he believes it is essential to have in every gentleman’s wardrobe.
Initially considering a white dinner jacket, Rasmus ultimately decided on a full-on black smoking as he believes it is very classic choice and it matches better with the climate in Denmark.
In terms of design, he opted for a double-breasted jacket, which adds an interesting detail to an otherwise classic piece.

Soft Browns
For this look, Rasmus wanted a slightly casual outfit in a neutral color palette that would be easy to combine with other pieces in his wardrobe.
He opted for the Brown Glen Check Flannel jacket, which is part of the Mond x Weinas collection. It is a stunning piece crafted from a luxurious wool blend and features a classic brown glen check pattern. Rasmus chose to complement the subtle light blue check in the jacket with a shirt in the same color. He is wearing our Light Blue Large Twill Journey shirt, an essential piece for every gentleman’s wardrobe.
The trousers Rasmus chose for this look are our MxW AW21 Taupe Cavalry Twill, made from 100% wool and provide an amazing drape. They are another versatile piece that can be styled for multiple occasions.
