New786,77 €This Navy Twill Linen suit is certainly our most Scandinavian version of the linen suit. Navy is one of the most underrated colours when it comes to linen suits, as showcased here. It pairs well with just about anything and is very comfortable to wear during the warmer months. The Linen suit shown in the pictures is made in a casual cut, however the suit would work just as well with roped shoulders.
Linen is a fabric for the summer, it will wrinkle beautifully as plant fibres should. The fabric weighs 320 g/m2 which is light enough to allow air to circulate without being so thin that it becomes see-through. The Twill weave gives the fabric, and the suit, a firmer and more lavish structure than what is typical for suits made from Linen.
As said, navy is probably the least common colour for a linen suit, although the combination works well. The suit has the versatility of a navy suit and the comfort and charm of a linen suit. Design-wise we recommend keeping it rather plain with this fabric, for those who want more details, pleats and cuffs would make great additions as they’re informal. This is one of the easiest suits to style that we present in our selection. The only rule of thumb is that whenever wearing the jacket and trousers together, make sure that the shirt is in a less coarse fabric. When it comes to shoes everything goes; black, brown, beige or sneaker all work with the suit. A tie is in no way a must, but consider wearing this jacket with a pocket square; breaking up the color with something lighter emphasises the dark cloth nicely.
The fabric comes from the Baird McNutt mill in Ireland. It is a family business that thrives in the harsh Irish weather and specialises in the production of linen fabrics.
